History
Although the company's name has changed, the faces haven't. Originally started in 1990 by Bruce Clement, under the name Sault Diversified Electronic Systems (DES), our firm specialized in Alarm, CCTV and Access systems. In 1993 DES amalgamated with Sulco Answering & Paging to form Sulco Communication Systems. This move enabled the company to further its growth by opening a 24 hour alarm monitoring station to serve our rapidly expanding client base.
The year of 1997 brought many positive changes to the company with the aquisition of two competitors and re-entry into the business telecommunications market, due to an overwhelming demand by clientele. It was at this time that we adopted our new name and image, North Shore Alarms & Telecom, in a pledge to continue to provide the best service possible; the service our clients have come to expect from us.
In May of 1999, we were pleased to be appointed as the Authorized Panasonic Business Telecommunications Dealer for the Sault Ste. Marie and surrounding area allowing us to expand our business communications portfolio.
In the summer of 2000 we aquired ADC Technical Services, a logistics company servicing electronic POS equipment for a major financial institution and one of Canada's largest petroleum companies. Shortly after this acquisition, we continued to expand this portion of our operations to add 3 more financial institutions and a number of other POS service contracts.
In spring of 2002, we were very enthusiastic to announce our expansion into the Wireless PCS Digital Communications and Data market with our appointement as the local TELUS Mobility Dealer. This appointment allows us to continue our long standing tradition of bringing quality, reliable products and services to our current and potential clientele at very competetive rates.
